New Normandy brand

France's Normandy region launches a new identity with this powerful logotype, replacing a characterless and typographically awful rainbow version. The design fees for the logotype design and guidelines €140 000, are as usual criticised by political opponents. But finally a French region investing in design and communication for the greater benefit of all. A change form the appalling amateur botch jobs that are so prevalent!

Ridiculously kitsch, old style Vins de France logo - just launched!

This ridiculous and kitch Eiffel Tower made of (illegible) wine bottles and badly placed typography  is the new, yes new, logotype for the promotion of French Wines!
Launched by the Association Nationale Interprofessionnelle de Vins de France, it would be a joke if it wasn't an important identity, branding and marketing challenge...
Below a couple of the numerous wine promotion brands that are intelligent, creative, graphically powerful and impactful.
Yes another missed opportunity...

Disappointing B'A, new Bassin d'Arcachon brand

Launch of a new brand and visual identity for the Bassin d'Archon (top). A disappointing and graphically weak proposal that communicates little of the region. (Previous version bottom).
As so often in France, absolutely no mention of the designer or agency is made.
Another version has the full name spelt out. I'm still hunting a decent visual.
